Editorial Policy

Our editorial process is designed to keep every getting-around guide useful, honest, and up-to-date. This page explains how we research, write, review, and correct our content.

Content Review Workflow

Every guide passes through a multi-stage review before publication.

  1. 1

    Topic Selection

We select topics based on traveler demand and coverage gaps rather than affiliate revenue potential.

  2. 2

    Research & Drafting

Drafts are built from operator data, official fares, and cross-referenced with tourism boards and local transport authorities.

  3. 3

    Editorial Review

A section editor reviews the draft for accuracy, structure, clarity, and alignment with our style guide.

  4. 4

    Fact-Check Pass

Decision-critical details (fares, schedules, parking rules) are verified against at least one authoritative source.

  5. 5

    Publication & Monitoring

After publishing, we monitor reader feedback and ranking signals to identify pages that need revision.

Source Verification

We distinguish between primary sources (transport operators, official tourism boards, on-site visits), secondary sources (reputable publications with editorial standards), and tertiary sources (aggregators and user-generated content). Recommendations should be grounded in the first two tiers.

Primary sources

Transport operator timetables and fares, official parking authorities, tourism boards, on-site photos and tickets

Secondary sources

Established travel publications with named authors and editorial standards

Tertiary sources

Review aggregators, forums, unverified social media — used only for qualitative context, never for factual claims

Update Cadence

Transport information decays quickly. We refresh content on a tiered schedule based on how time-sensitive the details are.

Volatility TierReview FrequencyExamples
High-volatilityEvery 2–3 monthsFares, schedules, line changes, parking prices, validity windows
Medium-volatilityEvery 6 monthsRoute maps, zone layouts, parking locations, transfer options
Low-volatilityAnnuallyHow-to-use overviews, walkability context, general orientation

Corrections & Feedback

If you find an error, email our editorial team. We verify, correct, and — when the correction affects a traveler decision — update the article's lastUpdated timestamp and add a brief note. We do not silently rewrite content.

AI Tool Disclosure

We use AI tools for drafting assistance, research synthesis, and grammar checking. Every published guide is reviewed and edited by a human editor responsible for its accuracy, tone, and recommendations. No article is published without human review.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some of our guides contain affiliate links to transport, transfer, and booking platforms. When you book through these links, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our recommendations — rankings are based on usefulness, reliability, and traveler fit. Affiliate links are disclosed inline where they appear.
